Gun shot, accident victims can get free cure at private hospitals: Sharjeel
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that the Namal Umar Act is applicable to all hospitals as now gun shot and accident victims can also go to a private hospital and the Sindh government will pay for it and no police certificate will be asked for.
Addressing a press conference, he said that influenza disease is increasing rapidly in other countries including Pakistan, all Pakistanis are requested to maintain social distance and do not shake hands.
He said that the Namal Umar Act was passed by the Sindh Assembly. The bill is a law applicable to all hospitals. If someone has a gunshot or accident, he can also go to a private hospital as under the Namal Omar Act, in emergency cases, any private hospital can be approached. Money will be paid by the Sindh government and no police certificate will be asked, he said.
He said that after two days, the display of weapons will be tightened, whoever has the weapon will be arrested. Unregistered vehicles will also be tightened from Monday as these will not be able to get out of the showroom. The fitness of the vehicles is also very important, we have also met with transporters and they assured that whatever laws will be made will be acted upon.
