ICC Champions Trophy: Things you can’t take to Karachi stadium

The ICC Champions Trophy is finally kicking off in Karachi, a historic moment for Pakistan, which is hosting an ICC event after a gap of 29 years on Wednesday.

The Champions Trophy kicks off today (Wednesday) at the National Bank Stadium, with the opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand scheduled to start at 2 pm.

A total of eight teams are participating in the event, which will be played in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Dubai. India are going to play their matches in Dubai.

To ensure smooth proceedings, authorities have implemented strict security measures and issued important guidelines for spectators.

Here is the list of things that are prohibited inside the stadium:

Spectators are not allowed to carry power banks for charging mobile phones

No wireless headphones including AirPods, headphones, and hands-free devices

Items such as chalia (bitternut), paan, and gutka are not allowed inside the stadium

Spectators cannot bring water bottles, chips, cold drinks, or other snacks into the venue

Authorities have urged fans to comply with these regulations to avoid inconvenience at the entrance.
