Punjab government increases CM internship stipend

The Punjab government has announced an increase in the stipend for the Chief Minister’s Internship Program to Rs60,000, providing financial relief to young beneficiaries.
Punjab’s Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, confirmed the revision, emphasizing that the initiative aligns with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision to empower youth and create opportunities in various fields.
He noted that approximately two-thirds of Punjab’s population consists of young people, making youth-focused initiatives crucial for regional development.
In the first phase of the program, 6,000 young individuals are receiving stipends.
The government plans to expand the initiative in the next phase by increasing the number of beneficiaries to 10,000 and extending the internship duration from six months to one year.
Khokhar highlighted the program as a significant opportunity for participants to gain practical experience and enhance their professional skills.
He stressed that such initiatives play a crucial role in preparing youth for future careers and improving their employment prospects.
