Pakistan passport lost? Here’s how much it costs to get new one

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports is responsible for reissuing passports to Pakistani citizens in case of loss or theft. A specific fee is charged for the reissuance, varying based on whether it is the first, second, or third time the passport has been lost.

Procedure for Lost Passport

If a passport is lost, a police report mentioning the lost passport number is required.

The lost machine-readable passport number can be obtained from the nearest Regional Passport Office by submitting a written request along with copies of the CNIC/NICOP or Child Registration Certificate (CRC) for minors.

For applicants residing abroad, if a passport is lost for the third time, and the Pakistan Mission deems the applicant to be gainfully employed, the case will be referred to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports for further processing.

Fee Structure for Lost Passports

• First-time loss: Double the normal fee
• Second-time loss: Quadruple the normal fee
• Third-time loss: Case referred to the Directorate General for further approval

36-Page Passport:

• 5-year validity: Rs9,000 (normal), Rs15,000 (urgent)
• 10-year validity: Rs13,400 (normal), Rs22,400 (urgent)

72-Page Passport:

• 5-year validity: Rs16,400 (normal), Rs27,000 (urgent)
• 10-year validity: Rs24,800 (normal), Rs40,400 (urgent)

100-Page Passport:

• 5-year validity: Rs18,000 (normal), Rs36,000 (urgent)
• 10-year validity: Rs27,000 (normal), Rs54,000 (urgent)

These charges are applicable in Pakistan, with higher fees imposed for multiple passport losses.
