JUI leader among 4 injured in South Waziristan mosque blast

A blast has occurred at a mosque in Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan, injuring several including a local JUI leader.

According to the police, the blast took place at the mosque of Azam Warsak Bazar. The sound of the explosion was also heard in remote areas and many people were reported injured, including a local district leader of JUI.

DPO Asif Bahadur told media hat the explosive device was planted in the mosque, in which four people, including JUI district Ameer Abdullah Nadeem, were injured.

Last month, JUI-S chief Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani among four people were martyred and 20 others injured in a suicide attack at the Darul Uloom Haqqania mosque in Akora Khattak during the Friday prayers.

Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani was son of late Maulana Samiul Haq Haqqani, who was known as the spiritual father of Taliban.
