Taking to Instagram, Rae expressed her gratitude for this new chapter in her life, saying: “Experiencing my first Ramadan — grateful for this journey of faith and blessings. May this month bring us blessings, peace, and guidance we need.”

Since accepting Islam, she has deleted all explicit images and videos from her social media accounts, marking a significant shift in her personal and public life.

Discovering Islam in Kuala Lumpur

Rae revealed that she first learned about Islam during her visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2024. Inspired by the warmth and kindness of the local Muslim community, she decided to explore the faith further. “They were very kind to me and welcomed me with open hearts. I felt that they were truly wonderful people, so I thought, why not try to understand their culture?” she said.

She initially wore a hijab out of respect when visiting mosques and engaging with the Muslim community, but her curiosity soon led to a deep connection with the faith.

Observing Her First Ramadan

A week before Ramadan, Rae hosted a meet-and-greet event in Singapore, where she received gifts like prayer mats and travel prayer kits from her fans.

On March 9, she observed her first iftar and prayer in Kuala Lumpur, documenting her journey by sharing short clips of herself in a hijab, walking through the city, and visiting the Seri Sendayan Mosque.

In a heartfelt post, she wrote: “I hope this beautiful month brings us closer to Allah and to our loved ones, family, brothers, and sisters. I’m very excited and hope that God and you all give me the strength to go through this month. Ramadan Mubarak!

She actively shared videos of herself fasting and breaking her fast, despite some TikTok users accusing her of doing it only for content. Responding to the criticism, she firmly stated: “I am fasting. First of all, I am doing my own thing. I am surrendering my pure intentions to Allah, so don’t worry about me. Please focus on your own life.”

Addressing Her Past and Moving Forward

Despite her past, Rae has received overwhelming support from many Muslims who have sent her gifts, including dates, books, and a prayer mat from Mecca. “It made me cry because people are so supportive, and they don’t judge,” she shared.

A Story of Faith and Redemption

Rae Lil Black’s transformation is more than just a personal journey—it serves as a testament to Islam’s ability to welcome people from all backgrounds, regardless of their past. Her story has inspired millions, proving that true faith is about growth, acceptance, and finding inner peace.
