Cricketer dies during match in Australia

A cricketer died in a match played during the heatwave in Adelaide, Australia.

According to Australian media, 40-year-old Junaid Zafar Khan collapsed during the heatwave at Concordia College Oval in South Australia.

The temperature was 41.7 degrees Celsius when the match was being played. The player of Old Concordia Cricket Club first fielded for 40 overs and then batted 7 overs.

According to Australian media, as soon as the cricketer fell on the ground, an ambulance was called and the medical staff did CPR but they could not save Junaid Zafar’s life.

Talking to the media, the cricketer’s friend said that Junaid Zafar Khan was fasting but on the day of the match, he was seen drinking water.

In a statement issued by the club, it has been said that the paramedics tried their best, but sadly the cricketers could not recover, they are very sad at the death of the club player.

According to the rules of the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association, if the temperature is above 42 Celsius, the match is canceled and if the temperature is above 40, the matches are played with special precautions.
