Light rain expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi tonight
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast scattered light rain and drizzle in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday evening and night.
According to PMD, continental air prevails over most of the country, while a shallow westerly wave is affecting northeastern regions. Due to these conditions, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are also likely to experience light rain.
Weather Forecast for Thursday and Friday
- Most parts of Pakistan will experience dry weather, while hilly areas will remain cold.
- Islamabad: Minimum temperature will range between 11°C and 13°C on Thursday and 12°C and 14°C on Friday.
- Rawalpindi: Minimum temperature will stay between 15°C and 17°C on Thursday and 16°C and 18°C on Friday.
Weather Conditions in the Last 24 Hours
- Dry weather was observed in most regions, while hilly areas remained cold.
- Leh was the coldest place, with temperatures dropping -7°C below freezing.
- Astore recorded -2°C, while Ziarat had a minimum of 0°C.
- Islamabad: Minimum temperature was 11°C, with 79% relative humidity in the morning.
- Rawalpindi: Minimum temperature was 15°C, with 47% relative humidity in the morning.
