Weather Update: Lahore, Punjab to Experience Gradual Rise in Temperatures

The plains of Punjab, including Lahore, are expected to witness a gradual increase in temperatures throughout the week, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

As per the latest weather update, continental air continues to dominate most parts of the country. Under these conditions, scattered rain and gusty winds may occur in Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Sahiwal on Thursday evening or night. Meanwhile, Murree and Galliyat are expected to experience partly cloudy weather.

For Friday and Saturday, mainly dry conditions are anticipated in Lahore and most districts of Punjab. The ongoing dry spell is likely to cause a steady rise in temperatures across the provincial capital and other plains starting March 21.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature is forecasted to range between 17°C and 19°C on Friday, while Saturday’s minimum temperature is expected to stay between 18°C and 20°C.

Over the past 24 hours, Lahore and most districts of Punjab experienced dry weather, with isolated rainfall recorded in some upper Punjab regions.

Recorded Rainfall (mm): Islamabad (Saidpur 13, City 07, Zeropoint 06, Golra 05, Bokra 02), Murree 11, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 04, Chaklala 03, Katcheri 02), Jhelum 02.

Murree remained the coldest location in Pakistan, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 3°C, with relative humidity at 39% in the morning. In Lahore, the lowest temperature recorded was 16°C, while morning relative humidity stood at 55%.
