Shan Masood likely to lose Karachi Kings captaincy
Pakistan red-ball skipper Shan Masood is expected to be removed from Karachi Kings captaincy in the upcoming Pakistan Super League season 10.
The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to commence on Friday, April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United taking on two-time winners Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
According to reports, though Kings haven’t decided who is going to replace Shan, but it is confirmed that he would play as a specialist batter in the tournament.
Moreover, the 2020 winner have also decided to appoint new head coach for the upcoming edition.
Phil Simmons had requested the franchise for withdrawal from Karachi Kings coaching in the forthcoming season due to his engagements with the Bangladesh national cricket team.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was looking to appoint Phil Simmons as the national team’s coach for long terms.
The six-team tournament will feature a total of 34 matches from April 11 to May 18. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches, including two Eliminators and the grand final.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on May 13. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches each.
The event will also feature three double-headers, with two taking place on Saturdays and one on Labour Day (May 1).
