David Warner furious at Air India
Former Australia batter David Warner lashed out at Air India after facing long delay due to pilot’s absence on his flight.
The batter took to X to questioned the airline’s decision to allow passengers to board despite knowing there was no pilot available.
“We’ve boarded a plane with no pilots and waiting on the plane for hours. Why would you board passengers knowing that you have no pilots for the flight?” he wrote on X.
Air India termed the delay was due to bad weather in Bengaluru, which disrupted multiple flights.
The airline also stated that the crew assigned to Warner’s flight was engaged in another duty, leading to further delays.
It is worth mentioning here that David Warner went unsold in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
He remains one of only four batsmen in IPL history — alongside Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, and Rohit Sharma — to have scored 6,000 or more runs in the tournament.
