COAS General Asim Munir’s mother passes away

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir’s mother has passed away, local media reported on Tuesday.

According to local media reports, she passed away in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his condolences and prayed for the deceased’s elevated rank in paradise.

In a condolence message released by the PM Office, the premier expressed deep sorrow and said he shared the grief of the bereaved family.

He extended his heartfelt condolence over the passing of the mother of COAS Syed Asim Munir, according to the statement.

PM Shehbaz also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief, read the PM Office press release.

He also prayed to Allah Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
