Upon whom Sadaqah-e-Fitr is obligatory before Eidul Fitr?
What are the minimum and maximum amounts for Sadqa-e-Fitr?
Sadaqah-e-Fitr is an obligatory charity given by Muslims before the prayers of Eidult Fitr.
Sadqah-e-Fitr is mandatory for all Muslims, whether male or female, young or old, rich or poor—even if they are a servant or free.
The charity purifies fasts and expresses gratitude for Ramazan’s blessings. Sadaqah-e-Fitr also helps those in need celebrate the Eid with dignity.
The charity is a form of alms-giving that is obligatory for every able Muslim at the end of the holy month of Ramazan.
It purifies the fasts and helps those in need celebrate Eid with dignity. The charity is given before the prayers of Eid-ul-Fitr.
It should be given even on behalf of a child who was born a few moments before the morning of Eidul Fitr.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Islamic Ideological Council, Allama Raghib Hussain Naeemi, has announced the amounts (Nisab) for Sadqah-e-Fitr and Fidya (compensation for missed fasts) for this year.

-
Raisins: Rs2,500
