Asteroid size of a 10-story building likely to hit Moon: Nasa

Nasa has said that an asteroid, whose size is equal to a 10-story building and which previously showed the possibility of hitting the Earth, is now more likely to hit the Moon than Earth.
Nasa experts and members of the world’s planetary defense community have previously felt that asteroid 2024 YR4, measuring 174-220 feet, will hit the Earth in 2032.
Now the same people have said that it is unlikely to hit the ground. By the end of February, Nasa had reduced the risk of its collision to near zero.
However, the Nasa team said that they have increased the chances of YR4 falling on the moon in 2032 from 1.7 per cent to 3.8 per cent, based on observations taken from both NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope and ground telescopes.
They also said about this object that in the small probability that the asteroid will have an effect, it will not change the moon’s orbit.
