As Eidul Adha 2025 draws near, Karachi has once again set up Asia’s largest temporary cattle market at the Northern Bypass in Taiser Town. Spanning more than 1,000 acres, this massive setup attracts livestock traders and buyers from across Pakistan, making it the largest of its kind in the region.

According to the market administrator Shahab Ali, preparations for the Karachi Cattle Market 2025 commenced immediately after Eidul Fitr this year—ahead of the usual schedule—to ensure smooth operations for the upcoming festival.

Enhanced Facilities for Buyers and Traders

This year, several new facilities have been introduced to improve the experience for visitors and traders. Notably, parking fees have been slashed by 50% compared to 2024, and traders are now allowed to bring their own animal fodder, which helps reduce operational costs.

To maintain animal health and fulfill religious requirements, the market will provide free veterinary check-ups for all animals. Each large animal will receive 30 liters of clean water per day, while small animals will be given 8 liters daily, all free of charge.

Market Opening and Key Services

The Karachi Bakra Mandi 2025 will open to the public between April 20 and April 26, offering a wide range of services such as:

• Continuous water supply
• Uninterrupted electricity
• Secured and organized parking
• On-site security presence
• Comprehensive veterinary support

Over 18 tenders have been issued for the provision of essential services including electricity, water, animal care, branding, and parking.

Expected Influx of Livestock

The market anticipates the arrival of 400,000 to 500,000 animals in the coming weeks, transported from regions such as Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. Buyers will be able to choose from a wide variety of goats, sheep, cows, and camels.
