Pakistan, Malaysia discuss cooperation in digital finance

Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC) CEO Bilal Bin Saqib met with Malaysia’s Foreign Minister, Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation in blockchain technology and digital finance.
The talks focused on boosting partnerships in digital assets and finance based on Islamic principles. Both sides agreed on key areas of collaboration, including harmonizing financial regulations, launching educational programs in Web3 technologies, and promoting cross-border talent exchange.
Bilal Bin Saqib praised Malaysia’s progressive stance on Islamic finance and its regulatory framework for digital assets, calling the meeting a major step towards regional cooperation in the digital economy.
In related news, the Pakistan Crypto Council recently appointed Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) as a strategic advisor. The announcement was made at a high-level event in Islamabad on April 8, hosted by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and attended by top officials from the SECP, State Bank, and ministries of Law and IT.
The PCC continues to build global partnerships to promote blockchain innovation and digital finance in Pakistan and the region.
