Govt convenes National Security Committee meeting following Pahalgam attack

National Security Committee meeting
Islamabad: A meeting of the National Security Committee has been called on Thursday following Indian actions on the Pahalgam incident.
According to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, a meeting of the National Security Committee will be held on April 24, 2025 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Defense Minister said that a decision on a substantial response to Indian actions will be made in the National Security Committee meeting.
The issues raised will be discussed in the meeting. India cannot suspend the Indus Waters Treaty like this. The treaty does not only include Pakistan and India, but also others.
He said that Pakistan will give a comprehensive response to Indian actions. Just as it responded to Abhinandan, it is in a position to respond 100 percent this time as well. The response given by the Pakistan Air Force to Abhinandan is part of history. India has been wanting to withdraw from the Indus Waters Treaty for a long time. The incident that happened in India is condemnable. India’s face is being exposed.
The GTV sources further revealed that the meeting will be attended by top civil and military leadership. The meeting will discuss the country’s internal and external situation after the Pahalgam false flag operation.
