Fazlur Rehman calls for mass protests backing Palestine

mass protests backing Palestine
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that a huge million march will be held in Lahore on April 27 to express solidarity with Palestine, while a million march will be held in Peshawar on May 11 and Quetta on May 15.
During a press conference in Islamabad, JUI-F said that Israel is an illegitimate country and has the status of an occupying country. JUI-F will continue to support the Palestinian struggle for freedom.
He said, “Does any country martyr innocent women and children? Does any country ever martyr innocent civilians in self-defense?”
The people of Pakistan, especially the business community, should participate in the jihad financially. Politically, we will stand behind the people in this jihad. We will continue our fight and struggle for their freedom.
He added that at present, the situation of unrest in the country, especially in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh, is indescribable. There is no government writ anywhere, and armed groups are roaming around. The common people cannot send their children to school or work, while the business community is also worried that they are being asked for bribes.
However, the performance of our government has been zero so far; it has not been able to provide any kind of relief. Our party is also highlighting this issue. Our position is that government and state institutions have failed to protect the lives and property of the people.
Governments formed as a result of rigging, whether at the federal or provincial levels, have completely failed to resolve the problems of the people and establish peace and order.
The chief stated that we had rejected the 2018 elections as rigged, and our stance on the 2024 elections is the same.
