BISP Kafalat Rs13,500 cash, installment update for April 2025

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced that it is now giving out the new quarterly payment of Rs13,500 under the Benazir Kafalat scheme.

BISP shared the update on Facebook, saying that payments are being made to registered women at special camp offices set up in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other provinces.

Before this, families used to get Rs10,500 every quarter, but now the amount has been raised to Rs13,500 to give more help to deserving families during tough economic times.

BISP’s DG Punjab, Arshad Liaquat, is visiting different cities to make sure the payments are handled properly. He clearly said that no extra fee should be charged for collecting the money. If anyone asks for a fee, people should immediately file a complaint with BISP.

Launched in 2008, the Benazir Kafalat program is now the biggest cash support program in Pakistan. It has two main goals:

• In the short term, it helps poor families deal with inflation, food shortages, and slow economic growth.

• In the long term, it aims to end extreme poverty and empower women, following the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Currently, BISP is helping more than 9.3 million families and plans to increase that number to 10 million by next year.

The government has officially raised the quarterly payment to Rs13,500 for all registered families to give them more support during rising inflation.
