China offers diplomatic support to Pakistan amid rising tensions

Following the Indian provocation, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong arrived at the Foreign Office for emergency consultations. The Chinese Ambassador held an important meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, in which they discussed in detail the emerging situation in the region after the Pahalgam incident. 

The GTV news sources added that Ishaq Dar not only presented Pakistan’s position on the allegations leveled by India to the Chinese ambassador but also informed him about India’s recent provocations, especially the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and threats to withhold water.

Dar clearly stated that stopping water is not acceptable in any way and will be considered a declaration of war.

Furthermore, Pakistan wants peace in the region, but India’s continued aggressive policies have made the situation serious.

The Chinese ambassador listened to Pakistan’s position on this occasion and assured China’s support for mutual cooperation, diplomatic consultation, and peace and stability in the region.

In the meeting, China expressed concern over the tension created by India and indicated its continued support for Pakistan at the diplomatic level.
