India cannot stop or divert water: Khawaja Asif

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that where will India take the water; it can neither divert it nor stop it, GTV news reported on Sunday.

Speaking to the media, Asif said that I do not think that India will gain anything by violating the Indus Waters Treaty. This treaty has international guarantees.

He said that India has not yet responded to Pakistan’s offer of an impartial investigation.

Pakistan has appealed to the whole world to form an international commission. We are ready for an investigation so that the truth and lies come before the world.

The Defense Minister said that the Simla Agreement can be abrogated, but the Indus Waters Treaty has international guarantors. Narendra Modi and his extremist colleagues are saying such things to save their declining reputation.
