Adele Roberts Opens Up in Tearful TV Moment

Lorraine rushes to comfort Adele Roberts as she breaks down
Emotions ran high on ITV’s Lorraine during a recent episode. The show featured Adele Roberts, a former BBC Radio One host, who spoke about finishing the London Marathon. Roberts, 46, has a stoma bag after battling bowel cancer.
As their talk ended, host Lorraine Kelly surprised Roberts with a video message. It was from Elaine, Roberts’ stoma nurse. Elaine said in the video, “You’ve inspired so many people with stomas. You’re someone others look up to. Thank you for letting us join your journey.” Roberts cried and thanked Lorraine, saying Elaine and the NHS saved her life.
Lorraine comforted her, saying, “The people who help you recover are so important.” Roberts also praised Lorraine’s “No Butts” campaign, which raises bowel cancer awareness. She said, “Thank you. It saved me.”
Then, another surprise came. A Guinness World Records representative joined the show. They announced Roberts broke the record for the fastest marathon time by a woman with a stoma in any major global race. Roberts finished in 3 hours, 30 minutes, and 22 seconds.
Lorraine joked, “Take a rest now! You’re in pain—go watch TV with your feet up!” The episode ended with a reminder to visit Lorraine’s website for bowel cancer symptoms.
