Pakistan has carried out a major cyberattack targeting several important Indian websites as part of its ongoing retaliatory military response, according to security sources.
The cyber operation reportedly disabled and breached multiple high-profile Indian domains, including key government and defense-related platforms.
BJP Website Among Targets
The official website of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), India’s ruling political party, was hacked and taken offline. According to sources, sensitive data was also compromised during the attack.
Indian Military and Telecom Infrastructure Hit
The websites of major Indian institutions were also affected, including:
Crime Research Investigation Agency
Mahanagar Telecommunication Corporation Limited (MTCL)
Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) — a vital defense supplier for the Indian military
These cyber breaches are seen as strategic moves to disrupt India’s military and communication infrastructure.
Another major target was the All India Naval Technical Supervisory Staff Association. Hackers reportedly erased all of its content, causing disruption in digital operations and staff coordination.
