NA passes resolution supporting Pakistani Armed Forces

The National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution expressing solidarity with the Pakistani Armed Forces.

In the National Assembly session, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar presented a resolution to express solidarity with the Pakistani armed forces. He said that all political parties united and played a role for Pakistan and we have prepared this resolution in consultation with all parties.

The text of the resolution said that the nation demonstrated unity by standing above all differences and becoming one voice behind the leadership. The House pays tribute to the Pakistani armed forces for their professionalism and courage.

The resolution states that the armed forces defended with utmost responsibility and befitting response against India’s unprovoked aggression. This House pays tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Motherland. This House considers the sacrifice of the martyrs as a symbol of national pride, unity and courage.

Moreover, the House thanks the friendly countries that supported Pakistan. The House reiterates Pakistan’s commitment to regional and global peace.

The resolution states that lasting peace in the region is possible only through serious and systematic negotiations. The government should mobilize the international community to resolve the Kashmir issue. This House emphasizes the importance of full implementation of the Indus Waters Treaty. This House considers the protection of Pakistan’s water rights as an important component of national security.
