Govt announces public holiday on 1st Muharram 2025
The government of Qatar has announced a five-day public holiday for Eid-ul-Adha 2025. The break will start from the Day of Arafah, which falls on the 9th of Zilhaj, and will continue until the 13th of Zilhaj.
The Day of Arafah is expected to be on June 5, but the final dates depend on the sighting of the Zilhaj moon. Qatar’s moon sighting committee will meet on May 27 to confirm the Islamic calendar dates.
If the moon is seen on May 27, Zilhaj will start on May 28.
If not, it will begin on May 29.
Based on this, Eid holidays in Qatar will run from 9 to 13 Zilhaj.
