Free Electric Scooters for Women Distribution date revealed

KARACHI – The Sindh government has announced a new initiative to provide electric scooters (EVs) exclusively for women. The program, set to begin next month, will distribute 1,000 electric scooters through a lottery system in its first phase.

The main goal of this scheme is to offer women a safe, affordable, and eco-friendly mode of transportation. Officials confirmed that all preparations for the project have been finalized.

This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon in Karachi. The meeting also reviewed the progress of several major transportation projects currently underway in the province.

With this move, Sindh aims to promote sustainable and inclusive mobility while supporting women’s independence and safety in commuting.
