Rain, Thunderstorms Expected in Many Parts of Country in 24 Hours

Thunderstorms and rain are expected in many parts of the country today, according to the Meteorological Department.

Weather officials report that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, and Kashmir are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms, with the possibility of heavy downpours and hail in some areas.

Additional rain is expected in Gujranwala, Jhelum, Mianwali, Okara, Kasur, Gujrat, and Sialkot, while Zhob, Barkhan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Battagram, and nearby regions may also see showers.

In Karachi, rising temperatures combined with low air pressure and high humidity are intensifying the feeling of heat.

It’s important to note that strong winds and storms caused significant damage in several cities yesterday. Thirteen people were killed in various incidents, and over 90 others were injured. Numerous vehicles were damaged by falling trees in different locations.
