PM Shehbaz Sharif Departs for Iran After Concluding Visit to Turkiye
ISTANBUL: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departed for Iran on Monday following the completion of his two-day official visit to Turkiye.
During his upcoming visit to Tehran, the prime minister is scheduled to hold meetings with the Iranian leadership.
At Istanbul airport, Prime Minister Shehbaz was seen off by Turkiye’s Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Ilker Haktankacmaz, President of the Pakistan-Turkiye Cultural Association Burhan Kayaturk, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkiye Yousaf Junaid, Consul General Nauman Aslam, senior Turkish officials, and members of the Pakistani diplomatic mission, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing.
The visit to Turkiye by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was aimed at conveying Pakistan’s heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support shown by the Turkish people and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during Pakistan’s recent tensions with India.
