Sports Can Strengthen Bilateral Relations Between Pakistan and Bangladesh: President Asif Ali Zardari

Lahore: President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the role of sports in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

In his address at the reception hosted at the Governor’s House in Lahore, President Zardari commended the performances of both sides in the ongoing T20I series, noting that the Bangladesh team is visiting as a representative of their nation.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi organized the event to honor the cricket teams of Pakistan and Bangladesh, along with their management and match officials. President Asif Ali Zardari attended the event as the chief guest.

During the event, guests and hosts exchanged souvenirs and gifts as a gesture of goodwill.

Bangladesh is currently touring Pakistan for a three-match T20I series. Pakistan secured the series with a 57-run victory in the second match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Chasing a target of 202, Bangladesh were bowled out for 144 in 19 overs, with Tanzim Hasan Sakib scoring a team-high 50 off 31 balls.
