Sana Yousuf Murder Case: Suspect Caught in CCTV Footage Fleeing After Shooting

Islamabad — Police have arrested a suspect identified as Umer Hayat, aka “Kaka,” in the murder case of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousuf. The arrest was made possible through CCTV footage and modern investigative technology.

According to details, the suspect was captured on CCTV fleeing the alley after opening fire on Sana Yousuf at around 5 PM on Monday inside her home. The suspect reportedly fired two bullets, both striking Sana in the chest. She was rushed to the hospital but died from her injuries.

The case was registered at the Sumbal Police Station after Sana’s mother filed a complaint, stating she could identify the attacker if seen. Initially, the suspect was unknown.

Police used technical equipment alongside CCTV footage to trace and arrest the suspect, who fled to Faisalabad after the murder. The murder weapon was also recovered during the arrest. Police say the suspect is originally from Punjab.

Sources revealed the suspect had contact with Sana Yousuf, and preliminary investigations indicate the motive was a personal grudge. It is also noted that the suspect was a guest at Sana’s home on the night of the shooting before fleeing the scene.

Sana Yousuf hails from Upper Chitral. The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
