Hina Rabbani Khar Slams India for Using Terrorism as a Political Weapon

India weaponizing terrorism while Pakistan seen as responsible actor, says Hina Rabbani Khar
Senior Pakistani diplomat Hina Rabbani Khar has strongly criticized India for what she called an attempt to use terrorism as a political tool. In a recent TV interview, she said that while India tries to shift blame in international incidents, the world is now starting to see Pakistan as a responsible state in the global fight against terrorism.
Khar pointed to recent cases of extrajudicial killings in Canada and the United States, where India allegedly played a role. “India is trying to weaponize terrorism,” she said, “but their tactics are failing. The global community is taking notice.”
Khar also accused India of ignoring international law. She said that Indian diplomats remain silent and disengaged even at major global forums like the United Nations (UN). This behavior, she added, reflects India’s unwillingness to follow global rules and standards.
Referring to the G7 Summit, Khar praised Canada for not inviting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said this was a clear message of disapproval. According to her, this act proves that the world is no longer turning a blind eye to India’s actions.
Khar said that Pakistan had tried to improve relations with India by moving past old grievances. However, India’s response was not peaceful. “Pakistan tried to forget Modi’s past, but all we received was aggression,” she said. “Modi’s message to us was simple: ‘Eat food or face bullets.’”
Khar is part of a nine-member Pakistani delegation, led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. This team is on a diplomatic tour to explain Pakistan’s stance on Indian hostility, especially regarding water disputes and the Kashmir issue.
She said this mission is helping raise Pakistan’s voice on global platforms and highlighting how India’s aggressive tactics are hurting regional peace.
