Section 144 enforced in Karachi on Eid ul Azha, dozens detained

Section 144 has been imposed in Karachi against the improper handling and dissection of animal waste during Eid ul-Adha. More than 180 people have been arrested for violating the order.
Police in various districts of Karachi took action and arrested more than 180 people for spreading dirt on the streets and alleys on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, with the District East Police taking the most action.
East Police registered 35 cases and arrested 90 people, while District City Police registered 12 cases and made 31 arrests.
Kemari police registered 12 cases and detained 26 people, Central police registered 9 cases and arrested 29 suspects, and operations were carried out by 49 police stations in 3 districts.
Police officials said that no case or arrest has been made in District West, details of Malir, Korangi, and South police have not been received, and the arrested suspects will be presented in court.
