Why Did YouTube Remove Mr. How’s Channel? Creator Shares Real Reason Behind Ban

12 June, 2025 11:10

In a heartbreaking farewell, Malik Hajir, the creator of the well-known Pakistani YouTube channel Mr. How, has officially announced the end of his digital journey. With more than 2 million subscribers, over 600 educational videos, and 150 million views, the channel was abruptly terminated by YouTube, marking the end of a six-year run.

In a deeply emotional final video, Hajir expressed his devastation over the sudden removal of the platform he had built with years of effort. He reflected on the reasons behind the termination, pointing to both personal hardships and larger systemic challenges within the digital content space in Pakistan.

“Mr. How channel has been permanently terminated. It was six years of hard work, why was it removed? The reason is clear, I didn’t dance,” Hajir stated.

Hajir emphasized that he chose not to chase viral fame through entertainment, instead focusing on educational content — something he now believes worked against him.

“I couldn’t show my family, couldn’t entertain. Maybe some people had an issue with the fact that digital education was being provided in Pakistan. I never wanted fame. There were many insecurities, many cases, and many family threats.”

The creator also opened up about facing threats and backlash due to his outspoken stance on online scams and unethical digital practices.

“Speaking out against scammers, enduring threats… that’s what I kept doing. I didn’t earn, I’m not sorry, I didn’t want to earn unlawfully. If you want to be successful, then dance; if you want to earn money, earn respect, earn fame, then make your family dance.”

While YouTube enforces strict community guidelines and policies, channels can sometimes be taken down due to mass reporting or misinterpretations. In such cases, strong community support and public outcry can prompt a review process.

The termination of Mr. How has sparked concern among fans and digital education advocates, with many questioning the broader implications for content creators who prioritize value over virality.

Malik Hajir’s departure leaves a void in Pakistan’s digital education space, and his final words serve as a sobering commentary on the challenges faced by ethical creators in a rapidly changing online landscape.
