Cambridge Confirms Exam Paper Leak in June 2025 Series After Investigation

Punjab adds another class to board exam list
Cambridge University Press & Assessment has confirmed that parts of three examination papers from the June 2025 exam series were leaked shortly before the scheduled dates. The confirmation came after an internal investigation by Cambridge’s security team.
The board clarified that most of the rumors about widespread leaks were unfounded. However, it did confirm that there were deliberate efforts by some individuals to undermine the examination process.
The investigation revealed that certain groups tried to extort money from students by sharing fake and real portions of papers online. These individuals targeted candidates who were anxious about their exams. Cambridge confirmed evidence of malpractice in three papers, but only small sections of these were leaked.
The board assured students and teachers that the investigation is still ongoing. It also stated that strict action will be taken against those responsible once more evidence is collected.
This news follows recent frustration among Pakistani A-Level students. Earlier in April, students expressed anger over how Cambridge handled their May 2025 exams. Due to political unrest in Pakistan, exams scheduled on May 9 and 12 were canceled. Instead of rescheduling, Cambridge awarded average grades, a move that many students found unfair.
Cambridge has promised to improve exam security and to continue monitoring the situation. The board encourages students not to trust unverified sources online and to report any suspicious activity.
