BISP 8171 July 2025: How to check Rs. 13,500 payment and reverification

07 July, 2025 14:03

The government of Pakistan has started the latest payment cycle for the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) for July 2025.

Families already registered—or those who think they might qualify—can now check their status and receive financial aid. Here’s everything you need to know.

What is the 8171 BISP Program?

BISP is Pakistan’s largest financial aid program for low-income families. It provides cash support to help families manage their basic needs. The number 8171 is used to check your eligibility either by SMS or online through the official portal.

July 2025 Payments: What’s New?

✔ Eligible families will get Rs. 13,500 this time.
✔ People marked for rechecking in the past may now be approved.
✔ The system is working faster, and many delays are being cleared.
✔ Families must update their survey data to avoid payment blocks.

Who Can Get This Payment?

You can qualify if:

  • You have a valid CNIC (ID card).
  • Your household income is below the poverty line.
  • You’ve completed the household survey recently.
  • Your fingerprints and ID details are verified in the government system.

If your details are outdated, update them now to stay on the payment list.

3 Simple Ways to Check Your Status

1. By SMS

  • Type your 13-digit CNIC in a new message.

  • Send it to 8171.

  • Wait for a reply with your eligibility result.

2. Through the Website

  • Visit the official BISP 8171 portal.

  • Enter your CNIC and the code shown.

  • Check your payment and application status.

3. Visit a BISP Center

  • Go to your nearest BISP support office with your CNIC.

  • Ask staff to verify or update your details.

Why Some People Don’t Get Payments

  • Survey not updated – Your household data is old or incomplete.
  • CNIC expired – ID verification failed.
  • High eligibility score – You no longer meet the criteria.
  • Biometric issues – Fingerprints or face ID didn’t match.
  • Application under review – Your case is still being processed.

👉 To fix these, visit your nearest BISP office or update details online.

What is the PMT Score?

The Poverty Measurement Tool (PMT) decides if you qualify. It looks at:

  • Your family income

  • Number of dependents

  • Housing condition

  • Education and job details

If your score shows you’re in need, you’ll get approved.

Why the Dynamic Survey Matters

This survey collects your family’s latest details (like income, family size, and school-going children). Without it, you may lose your payments.
