India’s Rejection of Trump’s Mediation Offer Shows Warlike Mindset: Mohsin Naqvi

13 July, 2025 12:33

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says that US President Donald Trump’s offer of mediation opened the door to peace, but India’s refusal is proof of its war-driven mentality.

In his message on Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the Kashmiris who laid down their lives on 13 July 1931, honoring the sacrifice of 22 martyrs who faced bullets out of respect for the call to prayer (Azaan).

He stated that 13 July 1931 marked the first alarm of conscience against a system that tried to silence the oppressed. He added that the guns of the Dogra regime and the violence of India are both different forms of the same oppression.

In his message, he further said that suppressing faith, identity, and opinion in occupied Kashmir through state power is a violation of human dignity. He likened the Modi government to the Dogra regime, stating that both have been carrying out brutal actions against Kashmiris.

Mohsin Naqvi said that U.S. President Trump’s offer of mediation opened a door to peace, but India closed that door by rejecting the proposal, showing its warlike mindset.

The Interior Minister concluded by saying that the call for freedom rising from the blood of the martyrs cannot be silenced. He emphasized that Pakistan is the protector, advocate, and guarantor of the Kashmiris’ right to freedom.
