Balochistan Honor Killing: 20 Arrested for Murdering Couple Over Love Marriage

In the recent development of the Balochistan honor killing incident, in which a couple who married by choice were shot dead, 20 individuals have been arrested so far.

Among the arrested are Sherbaz Satakzai, the head of the Satakzai tribe, along with his four brothers and two guards. A case has been registered at the Hanna Urak police station on the complaint of the Station House Officer (SHO).

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, stated in an official statement that 11 suspects involved in the brutal killing of a woman and a man have been arrested.

In a social media post, Chief Minister Bugti confirmed that the identities of the victims shown in the viral video have been established.

He further said that 11 suspects have been arrested so far in connection with the murder, and the operation is still ongoing.

He emphasized that all individuals involved in the incident will be brought to justice and that the state stands with the victims.

The horrific video of the couple’s murder went viral on social media, prompting Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti to take notice of the incident.

According to initial investigations, the tragic incident took place a few days before Eid, but the video only recently surfaced online.
