KKH Shut Down Again Due to Landslides, NDMA Issues Alert

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an urgent landslide alert after heavy rains caused complete blockage of the Karakoram Highway and Babusar Top from both sides.

Authorities have advised all tourists and travelers to avoid mountainous areas until further notice. Travelers are urged to stay updated through local radio, social media, and official sources for real-time information on road closures and weather conditions.

The NDMA has also warned against using unverified alternate routes, calling them unsafe and potentially dangerous.

In case of emergencies, people are asked to follow instructions from local authorities and stay in safe areas.
