Pakistan Launches First-Ever Online Women Police Station with Mobile App
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the first online women police station of Pakistan at the Islamabad Safe City headquarters. Alongside this, a mobile application for filing complaints was also launched.
The Interior Minister emphasized that both the mobile app and the online women police station demonstrate the authorities’ dedication to leveraging modern technology. He instructed that the Safe City staff prioritize public service and called for enhancements to the surveillance system, including integration with artificial intelligence (AI).
A dedicated helpline, 1815, has been established for the online women police station, which is staffed entirely by women, including call attendants, responders, and investigation officers.
The online women police station offers video calling and online chat features. Women can file FIRs without visiting the police station, as FIRs will be delivered directly to the complainants’ homes.
