According to reports, Ruchi Gujjar arrived at the theatre with a group of people, carrying protest posters with red cross signs over the film’s name. She confronted director Man Singh during the screening. A video circulating on social media shows Ruchi yelling at him and then throwing her slipper in anger. The event quickly turned chaotic.

The Background

The controversy began back in 2023 when Ruchi met Karan Singh Chauhan, a director-producer. She claims that Karan introduced her to a woman named Nazia Sheikh, who he said was associated with Sony TV and would help approve her TV serial project.

He allegedly promised to include Ruchi as a co-producer and asked her for financial support. Over time, Ruchi transferred a total of ₹25 lakh in multiple installments. But as months passed, she received no updates about the show. When she contacted Nazia, the woman denied any involvement, leading Ruchi to believe she was cheated.

Why the Protest?

On Thursday, Ruchi staged a protest during the movie screening, accusing Karan Singh Chauhan and others of fraud. The confrontation escalated when she threw a slipper at director Man Singh, drawing widespread media attention.
