Trump Confirms US-Pakistan Trade Deal, Hints at Oil Cooperation
US President Donald Trump has stated that a trade deal with Pakistan had been finalized.
According to foreign media reports, Donald Trump announced the trade agreement with Pakistan and once again took a jab at India.
Posting on his Truth Social media platform, President Donald Trump stated that the White House was extremely busy working on trade deals that day. He said he had spoken to leaders of several countries, all of whom, according to him, wanted America to be very happy.
He added that he would be meeting with a South Korean trade delegation later in the afternoon. He noted that South Korea was currently subject to 25% tariffs but had made an offer to reduce them. Trump expressed interest in hearing what that offer would be.
He further mentioned that a deal had just been finalized with Pakistan, under which the United States and Pakistan would work together to develop Pakistan’s vast oil reserves. He stated that they were in the process of selecting the oil company that would lead the partnership.
The US President remarked that, who knows, maybe one day Pakistan would be selling oil to India.
He further stated that several other countries are also making offers to reduce tariffs, and all these steps will help significantly reduce America’s trade deficit.
Trump concluded by saying that a comprehensive report on these developments will be released at an appropriate time.
