Punjab CM Hails High-Tech ART Bus Arrival in Lahore

Lahore: South Asia’s first Automated Rapid Transit (ART) has arrived in Lahore. The ART is based on the latest trackless system that runs on rubber tires.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed happiness on the arrival of South Asia’s first ART bus in Lahore on social networking website X, calling it a modern, efficient, and eco-friendly travel facility for the public.

The Chief Minister said that the ART is based on the latest trackless system that runs on rubber tires and can carry 300 passengers at a time. It is a new model, breaking away from tradition, which ensures effective use of investment and environmental protection.

He said that the ART bus will soon be put on a test run on Canal Road to assess its functionality and performance.
