Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Pakistan has finalized a historic agreement with the United States, marking a significant milestone in bilateral economic relations.
In a statement issued in response to a post by US President Donald Trump on his social media platform, Dar stated that Pakistan had finalized a historic agreement with the United States, expressing gratitude by saying “Alhamdulillah.”
He noted that the deal would open up new avenues for economic cooperation, particularly in the energy sector, and would also enhance bilateral investment.
Dar remarked that the agreement reflected Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its economic foundations and build international partnerships. He added that the Government of Pakistan had consistently prioritized economic diplomacy in the national interest and that this agreement was a result of that strategy.
He also lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, crediting him for enhancing Pakistan’s standing on the global stage.
While official details of the agreement are expected to be released in the coming days, government sources indicate that the partnership will focus on expanding collaboration in key sectors including energy, infrastructure, and exports.
