Bannu Police Foil Terrorist Attack, Three Attackers Killed, One Policeman Martyred

Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwaz: In a late-night attack, terrorists armed with heavy weapons targeted the Fatah Khel police checkpost in Bannu district.

According to sources, the assault led to a fierce exchange of fire between the attackers and security forces.

During the clash, one police officer was martyred while three others sustained injuries. Police retaliated forcefully, successfully killing three terrorists. However, several of their accomplices managed to flee the scene.

Rescue teams promptly transferred the injured officers to a hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.

Interior Minister Condemns Attack

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack and paid tribute to the martyred officer. In an official statement, he expressed condolences to the bereaved family and offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured personnel.

Naqvi commended the police for their courageous response, stating that they bravely confronted Indian-sponsored terrorists. He praised the force for eliminating the attackers and lauded their bravery in the face of aggression.
