Imran Khan’s Bani Gala House Auction Rumours – NAB Breaks Silence

11 August, 2025 19:51

Reports about the alleged auction of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence in Islamabad have triggered widespread political and public debate, with claims suggesting that authorities were preparing to sell the PTI founder’s property. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), however, has firmly rejected these reports as baseless.

According to early claims, advertisements for the auction were published twice, though conflicting statements and denials have emerged. PTI senior leader Salman Akram Raja stated on social media that news of the supposed auction of Imran Khan’s residence “surfaced only today.”

He added, “If this is true, it is the result of a covert operation. The Bani Gala management is unaware, and the party’s legal team is actively working to get to the bottom of the matter. Accurate details will surface soon.”

Within PTI, discussions over alleged internal differences and negligence have gained traction. Sources claim that leaders such as Barrister Gohar, Sheikh Waqas, and Zartaj Gul have been preoccupied with personal matters, delaying the party’s political response.

Meanwhile, NAB sources issued a categorical denial, confirming that “all reports regarding the auction of Imran Khan’s residence are baseless.” They clarified that in the £190 million case, only certain Bahria Town properties are being auctioned and that “Imran Khan’s personal property is not part of this decision.”

NAB further stated that the former Prime Minister has already surrendered in the case, and auction orders apply only to absconding accused. While rumors have been officially dismissed, the matter remains under political and legal scrutiny until complete facts emerge.
