16 August, 2025 20:23

Bajaur – August 2025: The Pakistan Army has started work on installing a new bridge to restore the vital connection between Bajaur and Dir, after the previous bridge was swept away by severe flooding.

Troops from the Army Corps of Engineers, equipped with the necessary tools and machinery, have been dispatched to the affected area to begin construction.

According to officials, the installation of the new bridge will be completed within a few days, with engineers working day and night to ensure rapid progress.

Once completed, the new bridge will immediately restore the broken link between Bajaur and Dir, which has disrupted transport and relief activities since the floods.

The Pakistan Army’s efforts aim to support flood-hit communities by ensuring connectivity and faster delivery of aid and emergency supplies.
