Trump Meets Zelensky, EU Leaders to End Ukraine War

U.S. President Donald Trump hosted a high-level meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several top European leaders to discuss efforts to end the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by the French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister, German Chancellor, Italian Prime Minister, President of Finland, President of the European Commission, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

President Trump called it an honor to meet with President Zelensky and the European leaders, saying they all share one simple goal — to bring an end to the war in Ukraine. He added that the day had been very successful and that important discussions were held, emphasizing that the goal is clear: to stop the bloodshed and end the war.

After the summit, President Trump announced that he would be speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone to discuss the outcomes of the meeting. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also commented, saying it was a good conversation with President Trump and that the results of the talks might come shortly.

The meeting signals a renewed diplomatic effort involving both Ukraine and its Western allies to push for a peaceful resolution to the conflict with Russia.
