Government Issues Warning Against Betting Apps: Don’t Download THESE Betting Apps – Full List Released

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has initiated a large-scale crackdown against illegal online gambling in Pakistan, targeting mobile applications siphoning billions of rupees from citizens. Authorities have declared 46 gambling and “casino” apps illegal, some of which were also found misusing personal data and mobile numbers.

Among the banned applications are Aviator Game, Chicken Road, 1xBet, Dafabet, 22Bet, Me Let, Pari Match, Bet365, Plinko, 10Cric, Rabona, Casumo, along with multiple unregulated forex trading platforms. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has started blocking these apps nationwide to prevent further financial exploitation.

NCCIA Director Sarfaraz Chaudhry issued a stern warning, stating that “anyone playing or promoting these apps could face severe legal consequences.” Recently, popular social media influencer Saad Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai, received a notice for promoting gambling through such platforms.

Authorities emphasized that these apps not only cause massive financial losses but also compromise sensitive user data. Citizens have been urged to remain cautious and avoid downloading such platforms.

The crackdown comes amid reports of Ducky Bhai’s arrest, with investigators alleging he acted as the “country manager” for several gambling apps, including 1xBet, earning millions through promotions. He faces charges under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and the Pakistan Penal Code, covering fraud, forgery, cheating, and prize manipulation.

Online gambling remains strictly prohibited in Pakistan under the Public Gambling Act, 1867 and the Prohibition (Enforcement of Hudood) Order, 1979. Offenders risk fines, imprisonment, or both—with repeat violations punishable by up to three years in prison.
