RAW Network Busted in Karachi After Citizen’s Murder in Matli, 2 Suspects Arrested
KARACHI: Sindh’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and federal intelligence agencies have arrested two suspects linked to the murder of a citizen in Matli, exposing a network of India’s intelligence agency, RAW, operating in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Additional IG CTD Azad Khan and DIG Police confirmed the arrests and revealed that the killing, which took place on May 18, was connected to foreign intelligence links.
According to investigators, a man named Sanjay, based abroad, had been in contact with the suspects who carried out the attack. AIG Azad Khan said that the probe into the killing of 45-year-old Abdul Rehman of Badin led authorities to uncover a major RAW network.
Abdul Rehman, known locally for his welfare work, was shot dead outside a barber shop in Badin. AIG Khan stated that Indian media celebrated the killing, and evidence has been obtained proving RAW’s involvement.
“The matter will now be raised at every forum,” AIG Khan added, emphasizing that the victim was an ordinary citizen deliberately targeted by Indian intelligence operatives.
