India Alerts Pakistan of Potential Flood Risk Under Indus Waters Treaty
India has alerted Pakistan to the risk of a major flood under the Indus Waters Treaty.
According to official sources, India informed Pakistan about a possible major flood on the Tawi River in Jammu.
Officials stated that the Indian High Commission in Islamabad conveyed the warning regarding the potential flood situation.
The sources said that India made contact at 10:00 AM on August 24. This is the first significant communication of its kind since the India-Pakistan war in May.
In light of the information provided by India, the Government of Pakistan has issued an alert.
